The via ferrata leads to the **1261m** high Mahdlgupf in Steinbach am Attersee. It requires stamina and fitness, the **difficulty level is D/E**. This via ferrata is suitable for **experienced climbers**. There are almost **1,200 metres of rope** to climb. The reward is a magnificent view of the surrounding panorama with a view of Lake Attersee below in the beautiful Salzkammergut region. [**Get inspired now and try out the 360° perspectives tour!"**]() The start of the via ferrata can be reached via the village of Weißenbach - where there is also excellent accommodation and other wonderful leisure activities on offer. Access time approx. 30 minutes: Via the Nikoloweg from Weißenbach to the Jaga-Wolferl-Graben. Turn right up to the start of the via ferrata. In summer 2020, a new access point was created around 30 metres north-east of the old access point. This is marked with blue markings. In addition, a rope was also installed, which makes it possible to turn back without hindering other climbers. After approx. 80m rope length, the new entrance joins the existing via ferrata. **Challenging via ferrata!
