A ski trip with all the same but over 1000 meters in altitude and high enjoyment factor. The ski tour Iron Bergl is a lightweight, very scenic , beautiful tour through the sparse larch and pine forests ! by Sabine Neuweg and Alois Peham . From the car park on the main road , the tour starts at the back of Steiner pastures. From here, you take over the flat meadows of romantic snowy pasture always following the rear Steinerbach a ditch contrary , the higher leads quickly . Cross the stream , holding at a right turn and continues to grow on the forest road and then through the forest in the core trench northwards higher. At 1420 m it turns west . A short, steep slope, then the terrain is flat again and you reach the crossroads at the castle stables. For the first time puts the Iron Bergl into view and also the Warscheneck just lit up white winter on the trees. Follow the left most existing trail that leads through sparse pine and larch forest along the summer marking direction Luckerhütte and Anger Mountain. Shortly after passing the steep southern slopes of Bergl , one turns to the right and over and through mountain pines to reach the flat summit plateau . Not only is the view to the surrounding peaks fascinated , but also the view down to the Bergurwäldern here in this isolated area between Wurzeralm and Hochmölbing . After the short descent back across the West back to glide along the ski trail back to the crossroads at the castle stables. Depending on snow conditions , follow the signs to either Wurzeralm or you swing near the ascension pathway down back to Hintersteineralm . With lower snow conditions you can go back down the slopes of the Wurzeralm the valley.
