The major part of the tour leads through the picturesque Trauntal towards Bad Ischl. There are some steep uphills to overcome before you get back to Ebensee. Start: from the parking lot at Rathaus (town hall) you ride towards the center of Ebensee. You cross Langbathbach river and continue along the shores of the Traun to Plankau where you cross the river. Head in a southern direction to Lahnstein. Shortly after the hamlet you make a right and continue to the power station. Cross the brook and climb to Bromberg. The road is open to mountain bikers until Kesseleck. You have to walk your bike the last meters to Bromberg (1430m) via Brombergalm. The route returns via Langwies and the Langstein station to Ebensee.
