Now you move away from the Salzach a little, pass a dam and come to a crossroads. There you turn left and cycle for 3 kilometres on a flat road until you reach a steep incline. The route now continues gently downhill through the Weilhartsforst forest for a further 6 kilometres. Once you have left the forest behind you, turn left before the next major crossroads and follow a winding road back to the banks of the Salzach. You can now follow the cycle path to Ach, where you can recognise the castle complex of Burghausen from afar. This is followed by a climb, after which you follow the road to Weng and on to Überackern. A few kilometres further on, you will reach the Inn-Salzachblick viewing point! After a short rest, turn left after 1.5 km and reach the banks of the Inn (called Rivera) after another kilometre. From this point, the rest of the route to Salzburg is signposted as R3 Innradweg. Now continue straight ahead along the Inn cycle path for 8 kilometres to Braunau. Visit the historic old town of Braunau and let yourself be enchanted by its flair.
