Schon im Jahr 1950 war der Bau der Kirche abgeschlossen. Alle Bewohner des Brunnbaches halfen zusammen und erbauten größtenteils händisch die Brunnbachkirche. An den Wochentagen arbeiteten hauptsächlich die Frauen des Dorfes am Bau der Kirche, da die Männer bei der Holzarbeit im Wald waren und nur am Wochenende nach Hause kamen. Erst im Jahr 2000 war es nach einer Spendensammlung möglich, eine Kirchturmuhr anzukaufen obwohl schon bei beim Bau 1949 ein Platz dafür vorgesehen war.
