The Hinterstoder high-altitude cross-country trail is located in the heart of a skiing area on the Hutterer Böden. The trail is easily accessible from the toll road or using the 6-seater cable car. The circular route, which is approximately three kilometres in length, has two classic trails and a skating section, and runs across Alpine pasture land from the intermediate cable car station to the Edtbauernalm lodge and back. The trail follows the gentle terrain of the Alpine pasture land and affords excellent views of the Stoder region's landmark mountain, the Höss.
