As the valley narrows, you will follow the forestry lane alongside the stream and up a series of switchbacks. Having now reached a forested alpine saddle, your ride continues through areas of cleared timber and a high forest, after which you will come to a cart path – from where you can enjoy sensational views out across Garstnertal valley – which leads you past a weekend home and through the “Reiterhof Schober“ farm. Now you will keep right in the direction of the Wurbauerkogel (paved road) and then take gravel path No. 1 back towards the valley in the direction of Windischgarsten. Above the reservoir, you will again reach a paved road, which you will follow for about 100 metres before turning off to the right. You will make your way gently uphill, past some houses until you come to a small gravel quarry. From there, you continue downhill along a paved road for about 200 m, before heading right along the banks of the Salzabach and back to your original starting point at the “Moar im Hof”.
