You walk from the center of Steinergut Vorderstoder on the dirt trail Ramseben. In the carpentry Rohregger, head right, then left at the end of the road. At the end of the road it goes first through a meadow in the woods and then again on a meadow path and reach the homestead Riesergut (Allow about 40 minutes). The trail number 5 branches of the access road from the Riesergut Spitzmäuerl. The path leads steeply uphill and then divides into the footpath to the right to Spitzmäuerl. A cart path leads you directly to Rieseralm. The Spitzmäuerl is a large, high cliffs with great views. Although the viewpoint is well secured, you should pay attention to your children! The trail leads slightly uphill from Spitzmäuerl in about 1 hour to the alpine plateau Rieseralm (Alpine meadow - no more cottage available), from where you take the forest road to Filzmoseralm (not farmed) comes. Our suggestion: Get off at about the Spitzmäuerl to Filzmoseralm and take you on the way back the convenient forest road to Almhotel Lindbichler.
