The densely wooded location, deeply incised valleys and plateaus at over 800 metres are characteristic of the municipality. This very accessible hiking trail takes you up the Wolfsberg. Many sacrificial bowls and special rock formations await you. The path also leads past an old beech tree, which is a particularly inspiring place of power. A little further along the path you reach the summit cross. From here you have a breathtaking view of Unterweißenbach and, on a clear day, as far as the Alps. On the way back, there is a pitch oil stone to discover in the pine forest. Special features: Sacrificial bowls were already mentioned in the Old Testament and the Bible. The blood of slaughtered sacrificial animals was collected in these bowls. Pitch oil stones are needed to extract pitch oil, the Mühlviertel healing oil, which was used in the past as a remedy, especially in veterinary medicine.
