At the bridge in the town center, the route continues along the road toward **Gahberg/Miglberg**. It heads slightly uphill into the **Bach** neighborhood until it reaches the **Bach/Gahberg/Miglberg** intersection. Here, the route branches off to the left and follows the paved **Gahberg farm road** for about **8 km** on a fairly steep climb. The road winds its way up the **864-meter-high Aussichtsberg** in a series of switchbacks. Magnificent views of the mountains and across Lake Attersee make the strenuous climb well worth it. At the antenna, the route branches off to the right and passes the **Alpengasthof Kogler**, which is currently closed. This is the highest point of the loop, at **835 m**. The route then runs flat along the ridge toward the forest. After that, a long descent through the forest toward **Reindlmühl** begins. Along the way, there’s a short detour to the left to[the Kreuzing Alm (](https://attersee-attergau.salzkammergut.at/oesterreich-gastronomie/detail/103857/kreuzing-alm.html) ). The access road is a **dead-end street** about **500 m long**. To the right, the road leads downhill and eventually merges into the **Wessenaurach forest road**. Slightly downhill, the route follows the stream through picturesque scenery. **Note:** There are no guardrails on this section of the road. At the next major intersection, the route branches off to the right toward **Reindlmühl**. At **the Schachingerwirt Inn**, the path continues straight ahead and, after about **2 km**, turns right toward **Hochkreut**. The route then follows the steeply ascending **Aurachberg farm road** to **Kleinaurachberg**. There, the route continues to the right, briefly follows the forest road downhill, and then climbs again to **the Schwarzenbachsattel** at **799 m**. Here begins the descent into the valley of **the Weyregger Bach**, which the route runs very close to in places.
