Another beautiful view of the river with the picturesque Steinbach opposite ... a steep gradient ... The clear water is already rushing beside us, forming a dam in front of the small power station. This used to be the centre of the Messerer and other trades, water wheels drove the hammers and grinders - a path steeped in history from the heyday in the 16th century to the end of the Pils works, which are now a museum well worth seeing. Continue along the former railway road next to the Steyr - cross the river at the Haunoldmühle mill and return to Steinbach at the top. The village is known for its various gentle development concepts - it is not for nothing that the revitalised old vicarage is home to a "sustainability forge"! We cycle on through marvellous hillside forests above the Steyr and have the certainty that there can also be ecologically correct solutions to problems ...
