The starting point is the car park for the Gebertsham filial church in the village of Gebertsham, municipality of Lochen. The hiking trail leads from here directly around Lake Mattsee (partly through woodland) and back to Gebertsham. In Mattsee, you have the option of taking a boat trip with the Seenland on the Mattsee and Obertrumersee lakes. This circular walk is a very popular excursion destination. (approx. 13 km).
