Before the house at Markt 26, turn right - past the Wackelstein - down into the forest. After crossing the road, continue down through the forest to the Klausbach stream. Listen to the stream and enjoy the peace and quiet. Continue left, along meadows and trees, uphill to the houses Mitter St. Thomas 4 and 5. Turn left past the houses and continue uphill through the forest. The Bärenlucke (stone formation) can be reached here at a junction, off the S8 but marked as part of the S6 Bärenlucke. Continue downhill through the high forest, turn right at the road, pass Waldpeter Großmaseldorf 1 and before the next house Waldmichl Untermaseldorf 9 turn left into the forest. You reach the Klingenberg ruins. The forecourt of the ruins with an excellent view and rest area is accessible, the ruins themselves are currently not accessible. Continue past the Klingenberg forester's lodge in the direction of Grabner Alm. Here it is possible to visit the 7 pinnacles (rock formation) off the beaten track. Past Haus Grabner Kleinmaseldorf 10 and now the ascent to Grabner Alm. This forest slope is home to crawl-through stones and rock formations with the typical wool sack weathering of the Mühlviertel region as well as a snare tree etc.. The route then continues to the Zigeunermauer, a rock shelter where the robber chief Graßl once hid. Back towards St. Thomas am Bl. through forest and meadows. A section along the Staub goods road, then left, after crossing the road again through a section of forest and past the sports facilities. The last section on the footpath, where you can visit the Phallusstein (hermit's stone and natural monument) away from the road but marked, to the village centre.
