Its north-west ridge is also home to one of the most beautiful alpine pastures in the region, which alone is worth the climb. From the Goslitz parking lot in Oberweng, trail no. 616 leads along a wide, sometimes steep path through the forest to the Gowilalm (1,375 m). This rustic mountain hut is known for its fantastic location and warm hospitality - an ideal place for a short break.Just above the hut, trail no. 617 branches off to the left. The trail runs through steep mountain pine slopes and rocky terrain high above the Holzerkar cirque. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are required here. Step by step, the trail approaches the summit until you reach the cross of the Kleiner Pyhrgas. The view extends over the Windischgarsten valley, the Warscheneckstock and the Tote Gebirge - an impressive panorama.
