The town is noted for its magnificent gothic winged altars inside the late gothic parish church (open all day). The hamlet of Pöring boasts an old farmhouse that has been converted into a museum. The town offers a good choice of friendly guesthouses and pensions, farmhouses and private accommodations. Sports and leisure facilities: horse riding, horse-drawn carriage rides at Landhotel Schoberhof in Zeiling, tennis, fishing, hiking, cycling (bicycle rental), etc. The town also has a library and a large technology park.
