Aurach is a quiet and child-friendly residential community ideal for relaxing holidays amid scenic surroundings. The town offers a choice of friendly guesthouses and inns, a solar-heated swimming pool, beautiful hiking trails through dark-green forests and up Hongar Mountain (943m), access to the popular Attersee-Salzkammergut cycleways, and a great mountain bike trail. Aurach makes a great base for leisurely hike via Hongaralm and Kreuzingalm to Gahberg and for exploring the pristine Salzkammergut and its many lakes and sporting opportunities.
