The many valleys and ridges reduce the force of the wind and give the village a mild, pleasant climate. The church and the houses of the village nestle close together in the narrowness of the valley and give the village a beautiful, homely appearance, which has earned it the nickname "Pearl of the Enns Valley"! The proximity to the Kalkalpen National Park promises a special kind of landscape experience and the Hohe Dirn hiking area also offers a great nature experience. A journey into the craft and industrial past can be experienced on the Nagelschmiedweg (nail smith trail) - past historical sites to the dreamy lake of the Kesselfall. In the Brandstätter Hammer, which houses the world's largest collection of hand-forged nails, you can work the red-hot iron yourself. This wonderful circular hiking trail can also be done by mountain bike. The[ Losenstein indoor swimming pool](http://www.hallenbad-losenstein.at/) offers something for everyone, from quiet relaxation to active swimming fun.
