The tiny and peaceful village of Senftenbach lies amidst the scenic District of Ried. Senftenbach has its name derived from a lovely stream of the same name. Meaning "gentle brook", the Senftenbach stream has its source in Eitzing and meanders through the picturesque rural commune.
The scenic environs of Senftenbach once were popular hunting grounds to the Bishops of Passau. Senftenbach has at its heart the friendly Village Inn where a choice range of refreshments and freshly cooked food is on offer and visitors are warmly welcomed.
