Gurten is a predominantly rural community dedicated to agriculture, thus offering unspoiled nature in abundance! The scenic place lends itself to outstanding walking and hiking as well as fascinating nature exploration. Of course, cycling buffs, too, will have the time of their lives! Culture vultures, however, will be taken by the beautiful statues by Johann Franz Schwanthaler which are on display in the local church. And those who want to do nothing else but relax, unwind and let their minds wander will appreciate the close vicinity to the Geinberg spa resort.
