The picturesque village, as the name implies, is dotted by numerous walnut trees. These beautiful trees offer a special look back in time where history has left its mark to enjoy as the renown Nußbach Walnut Liqueur has been produced here for centuries. Walnuts have been cultivated all over Europe. However, Nußbach has a particularly well-adapted climate and superior soil for walnuts and it produces the finest varieties you can imagine. They are described as 'fruity' and many say its the best tasting nut they have ever tried. Visiting Nußbach you will appreciate this lovely gift from the area´s trees. And you´ll soon find out that there is no other way to appreciate a walnut as much as when it is made into a liqueur. Nußbach is home to some 30 producers of a rich variety of excellent Walnut Liqueurs.
