Rupert Trinker, a man of visionary foresight, had an arcaded courtyard built that was ahead of its time. This bold decision, a matter of prestige that he could afford, initially proved ambivalent. In summer, the sun was unable to warm the interior of the house, and in winter the arcades were covered in snow. However, as is so often the case in history, the original disadvantage turned into a later advantage. Today, Trinker's arcaded courtyard is a blessing.
