You can borrow MP3 players and headphones at the reception desk of the Kunstuniversität Linz. The content of the audio walk consists of interviews that were conducted after researching the Nazi buildings *Nibelungenbrücke* and *Brückenkopfgebäude* in Linz. The history of the buildings is linked with the present day. The topics include persecution and forced labour under National Socialism, dealing with the history of the Nazi buildings, the history of the University of Art and Design Linz, working conditions for migrants and the exclusion of various social groups. Linz's Nibelungen Bridge only received its current name in the course of its new construction in 1938, which also saw the construction of the bridgehead buildings, which today bear witness to Hitler's large-scale construction plans at the time. The choice of location for concentration camps, such as in the case of Mauthausen, near a quarry, was fundamentally determined by the urban planning measures for Linz and other so-called Führer cities at the time.
