Routes 78 routes from 5 to 9- (7-26 metres) For topos and route descriptions, see [www.klettern-im-ennstal.at](http://www.klettern-im-ennstal.at) **Best time of day/year** March to November, sometimes windy **Rock texture** Holey cellular dolomite **Ambience** The rugged massif always offers shady climbs. **Approach** From the chapel southwest on the hiking trail across the meadow to the crossing over the fence. Immediately after the crossing, a path branches off to the right from the hiking trail and leads steeply uphill to the Sauzahn. From the chapel about 10 minutes. Distance From Steyr about 20 km, from Losenstein about 7 km. **Important notes** The access from the south (see sketch) should only be used if the car can be parked without problems at the starting point (junction of several goods roads on the height west of the Sauzahnbauer), in order to prevent obstructions from vehicles of the surrounding farmers (milk trucks, etc.)! A detour to the car park at the Schöffthaler Chapel should be self-evident and only requires a driving distance of 1.5 km: On the goods road to the east, past the Sauzahnbauer, to the road Laussa - Großraming and 200 metres to the left to the Schöffthaler-Höhe. **From the direction of Laussa or Großraming to Schöffthaler Höhe (3 km east of Laussa). Park at the roadside by the chapel. Public transport:** The Ennstalbahn runs between Linz and Weißenbach-St. Gallen.
