This was approved. The people who were active at the time grew older and founded the Alte Schule Gutau cultural association shortly afterwards. The cultural association has existed without interruption since then, the board has changed from time to time, but the basic idea that a place like Gutau should have a venue for groovy concerts, wild dance, modern theatre, screenings, band rehearsals, theatre rehearsals, workshops and much more still exists! There were years with twelve events or more, that was the "great" time of the Alte Schule Gutau, legendary by all accounts... and people came from everywhere... but that was a long time ago, and since then there have also been years with only two events and also quite a change in society as far as "going away" is concerned. There are currently a few events a year in the hall, and the last Sunday of every month is Otelo Day - the [open experimental workshop ](http://www.zeugfaerberei.at/?cat=4).
