Georg Wenger married Elisabeth Erlacher in 1852 and has since been the Erlachmüller. In 1866 he took part in a baptismal feast at Gasthof Leitnerbräu in Mondsee.

In the intoxication he confused the "flight death" with his schnitzel. Fly agarics were still generally used as a remedy for insect pests. He made his way home through the Helenental to the Prielmühle, where he remained lying. The Prielmühle stood on the Zellerache above the present jetty about 150 m in front of the Erlachmühle. Cow-milk was instilled in the terminally ill Erlachmüller, and he did not lose his life. Out of gratitude he built the Erlachmühkapelle.

The stained glass on the 4 windows are by Gitti König.
On the night of August 1, 1991, the two 70 cm tall saints were hl. Florian and hl. Georg, 1 carved cross, 1 further cross and 4 pictures taken from the chapel. The damage was estimated at 70,000 to 100,000 Swiss.

After this incident, the owners had the wrought-iron grille fitted with the letters G E W and the year 1866.

Since then, the chapel is kept locked. Various groups (including the Rosserer and the inhabitants of the Gaisberg) celebrate here annual Mayan Tribute.
