The name alone arouses curiosity. We show you how the Bauernkrapfen is made - from the dough, which first rests, to the grinding and subsequent baking in hot fat - handmade as ever. You can experience this traditional craft in our modern architecture - the Bauernkrapfen-Schleiferei. Every visitor can try a variety of flavours of freshly baked farmer's doughnuts. Many people are only familiar with the classic apricot jam. Simply choose from our homemade jams, from apple-chilli to strawberry-balsamic to plum-red wine-cinnamon jam - you'll be amazed! In an entertaining way, you will learn a lot about the history and production of the farmer's doughnut, as well as about the myth that the doughnut is always pulled over grandma's knee**.** Take part in a company presentation and then enjoy a tasting of a series of small, freshly baked Bauernkrapfen in many different flavours. From the classic with apricot jam to strawberry balsamic jam and doughnuts with beer jelly, there is something for everyone. Up to 8 flavours and a special seasonal variety every month. You will be delighted! We are happy to serve you the finest coffee specialities, drinks and small snacks - mostly from partners in the region - as well as our unusual doughnut specialities, from doughnut toast to doughnut burgers. We are also located on a hiking trail to other sights in Tragwein. We have always attached great importance to tradition. We are a family business that emphasises quality and regionality. Additives and industrial products are foreign words for the bakery, as every doughnut is lovingly made by hand, from the smallest piece of dough to the golden-brown doughnut.
