The exhibitions take place on a monthly basis (excluding the summer break). The most famous artists who have exhibited at the Stadtgalerie in recent years range from Vöcklabruck artists (Herbert Aichinger, Prof. Oskar Czerwenka, Robert Schuster, Hannes Rohringer, Michael Zitzler, .....) to national greats (Maria Moser and Heinz Göbel, Prof. Hans Fronius, Prof. Fritz Fröhlich, Prof. Elfriede Ott, Samlung Essl, Johann Jascha, Prof. Lisl Engels, Anton Raidel, Helmut Hundstorfer, Christine and Alois Bauer, Gertie Fröhlich and Filmmuseum Wien, Christine and Alois Bauer, Gertie Fröhlich and Filmmuseum Wien). The gallery's artistic director from 1979-2012 was the former head of cultural affairs, Hansjörg Eiblmayr. He was succeeded by the new team with the artists Manfred Pohn and Peter and Lore Lacher as well as Alexander Schmid from the cultural department of the city of Vöcklabruck.
