The Reichenthal church is also known for its excellent acoustics. **7 DEADLY SINS PULPIT** The pulpit in the parish church of Reichenthal is supported by a tree trunk around which a giant snake winds. This fans out into seven necks, at the end of which sit human heads. Each of these seven heads symbolises one of the seven deadly sins - arrogance, unchastity, sloth, envy, intemperance, avarice and anger. The 7 Deadly Sins Pulpit was created in 1895/96 in the workshop of the Linz sculptor and altar builder Ludwig Linzinger. It is considered a very important artistic achievement of ecclesiastical historicism.
