Next to it bubbled a spring that was said to have healing powers, the so-called "Annabründl". In 1300, the Count of Sprinzenstein built the first little church. Unfortunately, only some late Baroque furnishings remain from the former Gothic architectural style of the old pilgrimage church: a large cross (1658), the baptismal font (1785), six statues and a beautiful Mother of God also dates from the Baroque period. The late Baroque high altar from the Rococo period, a valuable donation from Schlägl Abbey, shows the parish patron saint, Mother Anne with her child Mary. Today's church, which was built between 1865 and 1871, was built in the neo-Romanesque style. Julbach also boasts two organs: a Romanesque and a Baroque organ (renovated in 2001).
