In a cosy atmosphere, special rarities from the Christmas season of earlier times are shown. **What awaits you:** In addition to countless lovely things related to Christmas in times gone by, you will see a rich collection of Christmas tree decorations (1870 - 1960) made from a wide variety of materials such as glass, cardboard, leonic wire, paper, cotton wool, etc. Another focal point is the customs of the pre-Christmas period (Advent, chocolate making, smoking, ...). You will also learn how Christmas tree decorations were made from glass in earlier times. Porcelain dolls from Thuringia (around 1900), old paper cots and Christmas tree stands will enchant you. Also on display is a beautiful "Fatschenkinderl", all the Christmas stamps from Austria, the first Christmas postmark from Steyr-Christkindl (1950), interesting Krampus, St Nicholas, Christmas and New Year cards (around 1900), old Christmas paper, a field post Christmas tree and much more ... The anterooms are decorated with selected antiques and the outside area of the museum is lovingly decorated. **This year's special exhibition** deals with the fate of the **"Gablonzer** " and antique Gablonz Christmas tree decorations, historical evening dresses embroidered with Gablonz beads evening dress embroidered with Gablonz beads, decorated traditional costumes, a special a special hunting satchel with colourful glass beads, glass buttons, a large collection of of Gablonz ladies' jewellery from the 1950s and 60s and much more.
