Duration approx. 1.5 - 3 hours In the Micheldorf paradise, a "protected landscape area," it blooms like few other places. Colorful spring crocuses herald the start of the year. A visit during the orchid bloom in May and June is particularly recommended. 16 different native species of orchids have been counted in the paradise, along with five different types of gentian. The meadows are deliberately mowed only once a year, and not before July. This benefits ground-nesting birds and is one reason why a large variety of flying companions have become native here. By car: Take the A9 motorway exit Klaus, then turn left onto B138 Pyhrnpass Straße toward Micheldorf, after about 5 km turn left toward In der Krems/Himmelreichbiotop, follow the road for about 2 km after the level crossing, then the Himmelreichbiotop is on the left side with ample parking.
