**A piece of history!**
This Protestant Church of Bad Goisern at Lake Hallstatt is a listed building.

In 1782 the first **wooden prayer room** was built by Evangelists of [Goisern](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/en/bad-goisern-at-lake-hallstatt.html?utm_campaign=tourdata&utm_medium=text&utm_source=tourdata).
Up until this time, this had been strictly forbidden! Around 50 years later it was replaced by a **building made of stone**, but it was still not allowed to be recognisable as a church, and it was not until 1859 that a steeple with a bell and a clock was finally built!
Due to the **interior renovation** a few years ago, now the **church looks bright, friendly** and **inviting.** The **church roof renovation** was completed before year 2020.
