Be spoilt in the mountain guesthouse or at the alpine hut or on their sun terraces respectively. **OUT OF A PICTURE BOOK** Spa town Bad Ischl as the heart of the Salzkammergut with its “Darling”, Mount Katrin, has been a place of recreation since the imperial period. While the city with its cultural diversity and the historic buildings and places leaves nothing to be desired, Bad Ischl’s Darling provides a unique nature experience. The impressive mountain scenery and the almost infinite expanse have always brought people to marvel. The panoramic view includes Mount Dachstein, Mount Loser, Mount Schafberg, the mountain chains of Gosaukamm, Totes Gebirge and Höllengebirge as well as many other wonderful. Since 1959, Katrin cable car has brought a range of visitors to the summit. Enjoy a charming 15-minute drive to more than 1,400 m above sea level with spectacular views! **7 LAKES VIEW** Enjoy fabulous views: to the south the magnificent Lake Hallstättersee, to the west the majestic Lake Wolfgangsee, and further beyond, perched higher up, Lake Fuschlsee. Lake Nussensee with its emerald color, the mystical Lake Schwarzensee and to north-east Lake Traunsee are also to see. At perfect weather conditions you can see the Bavarian Lake Tachingersee in the far distance. **NUMEROUS PANORAMA ROUTES** The network of the circular walk extends from lovely Feuer- and Rosenkögerl westwards to the imperial Katrin summit and further to the beautiful Elferkogel, followed by the romantic Hainzen and the mighty Rosskopf - always accompanied by the impressive mountain scenery of the Salzkammergut that will inspire you. **MULTI-GENERATION VIA FERRATA** Apart from fun and action for those who want to be active, the promising fixed rope route (suitable for families) offers a fabulous view of the most beautiful lakes of the Salzkammergut region. As highlight, the ascent ends at the majestic cross on the summit of Mount Katrin. **THE CULINARY SUMMIT - KATRIN INN** On approximately 1,400 m above sea level, the „summit kitchen“ creates typical and seasonal cuisine, characterized by premium quality. Only fresh ingredients - as far as possible from the region - are used for this. **Pure relaxation** The Katrin Mountain Inn, led by Gerhard Wagner, is a wonderful place to relax.
