The famous sculptor family lived in Ried for more than two centuries and were active as artists far beyond. The sweet Schwanthaler cake with the finest Innviertel butter, real Fairtrade chocolate and cream chocolate is dedicated in their honour. The recipe comes from the mixing bowl of master confectioner Karl Mayer and can be tasted in the confectionery bakery of the same name on Stelzhamerplatz in Ried im Innkreis.
