Every year in November/December, the theatre performances of the Weng Theatre Association take place in the large hall. The inn has a long tradition; the freedom fighter and peasant rebel Johann Georg Meindl was born in the house in 1682. Even then it was run as an inn (by Meindl's parents Cyprian and Maria).
