Day 1 - Individual arrival in Linz

Your cycling holiday on the Danube Cycle Path starts in Linz. Check into your room and hand over your cycling tour documents at the hotel. You will get the best view of Linz during a harbour tour.

Day 2 - Kul tour around Linz, approx. 75 km (R1.10)

On the 2nd day of your cycling holiday in Austria we have a tour suggestion for experienced cyclists: You start on the flat Danube cycle path to Asten. Here you cross the Danube via the power station. Continue via St. Florian (beautiful monastery!!) to Ebelsberg, where you join the flat Traunuferweg. The cycle tour now leads through the densely populated Linz suburbs to Leonding. From here you pedal hard uphill to Hitzing, the highest point of the tour. Now you can let the bike run again until you reach Wilhering. Take the ferry across to the other side of the Danube and cycle the last stretch along the Danube cycle path to Linz. You will cover a total of 75 hm here.

Day 3 - 3-river round trip to Abwinden power station, Mauthausen and Enns, approx. 50 km (R1.11)

Along the Danube cycle path, the route leads downstream to Lake Pleschingen. Those who like to pass the day swimming and lazing around are welcome to stay and enjoy. All others should continue the cycle tour in Austria to Mauthausen. For the return trip, the route via Enns, the oldest town in Austria, and St. Florian is recommended.

Day 4 - Cycle tour to Linz Castle, approx. 15 km & Individual journey home

A short ride to Linz Castle with a great view of the city, then on to the Volksgarten, the Music Theatre and back via Landstraße - the perfect end to your cycling tour in Upper Austria.
