Island hopping in the floodplain wilderness

In the lush and almost jungle-like natural landscape of the floodplain forest, the border between the world of humans and the world of fairy tales becomes blurred. So it may happen that we meet a dwarf on our approximately three-hour adventure trip who lets us in on the secrets of this fascinating forest by the river, even sings us a song or two, or searches with us for a secret path through the labyrinth of water, stones and trees. It is possible that we will have to walk a piece blindly, build ourselves a footbridge and perform some other challenging tasks.  It will be exciting and fun in any case.

Meeting place:
4400 Steyr, Drahtzieherstraße (Schwarze Brücke).

From the meeting point we walk in the direction of the river. Soon we reach the floodplain forest and from here we march on a bit blind. We experience the first impressions with our senses of touch and hearing. We reach a place with mighty old trees.  On the basis of a tree stump we explain the life of this tree. In small tasks we learn step by step more of its history.

Should we meet Zatsch the dwarf, who is always hanging around in this area, things will certainly be very funny. He knows quite a lot about this mystical forest. His songs and games encourage us to join in and step by step we dive deeper and deeper into this wild landscape.

After we have fortified ourselves with a small snack we have brought ourselves, the task is to find our own way back - into the world of the people. This can only succeed if we help each other and really stick together.
