The magnificent Melk Abbey marks the beginning of this region, which counts to the Austrian UNESCO world heritage. You cycle past numerous so-called wine taverns and through picturesque winegrowing villages such as Spitz and Weißenkirchen. Taste some rewarded Wachauer wines at the winegrowing estate.
