Hirschbach im Mühlkreis - "an endearing landscape" in the idyllic valley of the Kleine Gusen, which has become famous for its unique symbiosis of folk art and culture, herbs and hiking. You enter the parish moat through the herb gate. Various herbs are described along the path. Taste, see, smell and touch a wide variety of herbs. Take pleasure in the variety and enjoy the marvellous surroundings. After a 30-minute walk, you will reach the herb garden at the Abraham organic farm at almost 800 metres above sea level. Later you will pass the European watershed on the "Tischberger Höh". Another highlight are the herb fields, which are cultivated by regional herb farmers from the mountain herb co-operative. The company building and the shop of this mountain herb co-operative are just a few minutes away from the hiking trail. The trail leads you back to Hirschbach town centre via several beautiful vantage points. On one section of the mountain herb hiking trail is the educational herb trail. This circular trail starts at the Kräuterstadl and leads via the Pfarrgraben to the herb garden at the Abrahamhof and back to the starting point. Tip: Take a break at the herb garden and enjoy the variety of herbs and the beautiful surroundings! The mountain herb drying hall is located in Oberdorf and the mountain herb processing company has its sales outlet in Thierberg.
