Pleasant temperatures throughout the day and the clearest view of the mountains of the whole year make for the perfect time to discover the Austrian Lakes District. **General information:** Daily stages are introductory to moderately difficult, hiking distances can be adjusted easily by public transport. A reasonable fitness level and basic hiking equipment like good hiking shoes, rucksack, rain and sun protection, functional clothing and also a warmer jacket or pullover are necessary to enjoy your trip. Overnight stay in Bad Goisern. **2. day Bad Goisern – “Ostuferwanderweg” trail – Hallstatt, ~ 5 h, 18 km** **altitude difference: á** 115 **m / â** **100 m** From St. Agatha to the Lake Hallstaettersee and along the eastern shore - with magnificent views of Hallstatt and the Dachstein Glacier - to Obertraun and further on to Hallstatt. Overnight stay in Hallstatt. **3. day “Weg durch die Wildnis” trail to Bad Aussee, ~ 6 h, 20 km** **altitude difference ascent/descent: á** 340 **m / â** **200 m** A scenic trail leads above the village Obertraun to the Koppenbrüllerhöhle cave (guided tour included!).
