GRIESKIRCHNER - regional brewing with tradition
The GRIESKIRCHNER brewery has been an important economic enterprise in the region since 1708. High-quality raw materials from the Mühlviertel and Hausruckviertel regions as well as crystal-clear spring water from the brewery's own well at a depth of 120 m are the guarantors of the sophisticated quality of GRIESKIRCHNER beers. The brewery's flagship - GRIESKIRCHNER Pils - is known far beyond the borders of the city and wins top awards at national as well as international competitions (e.g. DLG Gold Medal 2017).
In addition, the Grieskirchner show further facets of their beer competence with their creative beer series "4710". The interplay of high-quality ingredients is not left to chance, of course, but to the intuition of the experienced brewers. In a balancing act between traditional brewing methods and state-of-the-art technology, they create unique and exciting new beer creations.

Brewery owner Marcus Mautner Markhof is certain: "The great art in craft brewing will always be to brew a consistently excellent Pils or Märzen." After all, in this area the consumer will not forgive any blunder. "Nevertheless, we - and our customers - are curious and eager to try something new." In Grieskirchen, emphasis is placed on brewing beers with character that stand out uniquely and positively from other mainstream products. The range delights with outstanding classics, exciting seasonal beers, and new varieties with strong character.

The PILSNEREI
The pub of the Grieskirchen brewery - the Pilsnerei - is located in the midst of the foundations of Grieskirchen's brewing history. The oldest building in town, integrated into brewing activities since time immemorial, is now the venue for numerous beer-related experiences - from brewery tours and fan store to beer tastings and events all about liquid gold. The Pilsner Shop is open on Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Our beer specialties and small snacks are offered.
In addition to the brewery tours, the Pilsnerei can be rented for private events.

In the spirit of a true beer competence center, the Pilsnerei also hosts regular beer-related events such as special tasting evenings, training sessions and Beerkeeper courses.

Brewery tours in Grieskirchen
Anyone who wants to experience the GRIESKIRCHNER art of brewing for themselves is cordially invited to come and see the brewery up close.
Guided tours are available for groups of 10 or more from Monday to Saturday by individual arrangement.
In addition, an open guided tour with beer tasting takes place every Thursday at 5:00 pm. The tour of the brewery lasts about 2 h and ends with a cozy beer tasting in the pilsnery.

The ramp sale is Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 12:00 am and 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.
